Wildlife & Pest Control Technician

Coastal Wildlife & Pest Services is a family-owned business serving the Jacksonville area since 2021. We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and customer-focused technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll conduct pest control and wildlife services, inspect properties for activity, identify entry points, set and remove traps, and apply pest control treatments. You’ll perform exclusion work, sealing vulnerable areas like roof returns, crawl spaces and attics using hand and power tools. You’ll communicate with homeowners and business owners, explain services, offer recommendations for prevention, and stay connected with the office to update statuses and schedules.

The role requires participating in a rotating on-call schedule for animal pickups and emergency services (typically one weekend per month). Although not a sales position, you’ll have the opportunity to cross-sell and upsell services and earn a commission on any new business you bring in.

• Perform pest control treatments using backpack sprayers and other application methods
• Conduct exclusion work, sealing vulnerable areas like roof returns, crawl spaces and attics using hand and power tools
• Communicate with homeowners and business owners, explaining services and offering recommendations for ongoing pest and wildlife prevention
• Follow a structured daily schedule planned in advance by our office team
• Stay connected with the office to update job statuses, report issues and adjust schedules as needed
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for animal pickups and emergency services (typically one weekend per month)
• Cross-sell and upsell services to customers, earning commission on any new business generated

• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces and on ladders
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor, including carrying bags of cement, cutting wire and sheet metal and installing crawlspace access doors and attic ladders
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to follow safety protocols and properly use pest control and exclusion tools
