Description
Animal Eye Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for its busy, fast paced ophthalmology practice located in Jacksonville
. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Job Type
Full-time
- Assist doctors in exams and surgery
- Educate clients
- Perform blood draws and placement of catheters
- Record in patient files accurately
- Monitor patients under anesthesia
- Participate in daily cleanliness of our clinics
- Must have a record of longevity in and commitment to veterinary medicine with a minimum of 3 years' work consecutive experience
- Must possess good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision
- Must be efficient with anesthesia, venipuncture and IV catheters
- Experience in performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests is a HUGE plus!
- Qualified candidates must be available for some evenings/weekends/holidays for rotating on call duties
- Lead technician experience a plus
Physical Requirements
- Dependable attendance is required
- Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions
- The ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be confident in handling and restraining animals during exams and procedures

$23 - $26 / hour depending on experience
