Job Summary

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for nursing care in newborn nursery and postpartum units including, but not limited to, caring for the antepartum patient, high risk postpartum patient and the mother/baby couplet.

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Less than 1 year Newborn Nursery Experience
• Less than 1 year Mother/Baby Nursing Experience

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Registered Nurse Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (RNC EFM) Preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
