Baptist Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to support the Pediatric PACU at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position with variable shifts, including a rotating on-call requirement with a 40-minute response time. This role is eligible for competitive shift differentials and additional on-call compensation.

As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Perianesthesia Unit, you will practice within a professional nursing framework that supports clinical excellence, collaboration, and patient- and family-centered care.

* Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

* Demonstrate accountability for coordinating, planning, and evaluating patient care across the perianesthesia continuum.

* Provide leadership and oversight to support personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and professional growth.

* Collaborate with interdisciplinary and ancillary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.

* Partner with patients and families to develop individualized plans of care that reflect developmental, cultural, and psychosocial needs.

* Educate patients and families to promote understanding, engagement, and optimal outcomes.

* Prepare and coordinate assigned rooms and cases while anticipating patient needs to ensure safe and efficient care delivery.

This position includes an on-call requirement and requires flexibility to cross-train to Pre-Op and POPS, supporting continuity of care and professional development.

* 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience

* 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience

* PICU and/or Emergency Department experience preferred

* Professional nursing engagement such as certification, Unit Council participation, shared governance, Excel involvement, and/or Charge RN experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

* Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred

* Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred

* Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred Or

* Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred Or

* Licensed Registered Nurse Required
