Occupational Health Nurse
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to oversee employee health case management and coordinate care with providers to support recovery and return to work after injury or illness. Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department, this role involves collaboration with Human Resources (HR), Workers' Compensation, and site leadership.
Responsibilities- Assess the need for further care or medical assessment, manage cases, and schedule appointments.
- Review respirator medical questionnaire evaluations, fit-for-duty evaluations, and conduct employee interviews.
- Perform ergonomic assessments and health education initiatives.
- Manage and follow occupational health programs and policies.
- Triage reported employee illness or injury in the Jacksonville facilities.
- Coordinate care, follow-up appointments, restrictions, and return-to-work requirements between employees, HR, and local established occupational health providers.
- Participate in evaluations with EHS for work-relatedness determinations.
- Ensure adherence to required care plans.
- Coordinate medical monitoring related to noise exposure or respiratory protection.
- Collaborate with HR to coordinate wellness programs and develop wellness educational campaigns.
- Manage worker compensation cases and programs by working with providers, payers, and other departments.
- Communicate clearly with HR, EHS, Workers' Compensation coordinators, and leadership.

- 1+ year of nursing experience in operations or manufacturing (Occupational Health)
Skills & Qualifications
- COHN or COHN-S certification (preferred, not required)
- Telehealth experience
This position is based in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
