Position:
Full‑time or part‑time (overnight and second shift needed)
Base pay: $14.00 – $22.00 per hour
Position salary: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: up to $3,000 for overnight technician positions.
Responsibilities- Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing) and opportunities for growth in large animal service.
- Triage – identify emergencies and illnesses.
- Perform various treatments on an in‑house and outpatient basis, including placement of feeding tubes and intravenous catheter placement.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication and disease processes.
- Administer oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous medications.
- Position and capture digital radiographs.
- Computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication with both clients and team members.
- Anesthesia: induction, monitoring, troubleshooting and recovery.
- Attention to detail and calm demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Low‑stress handling of patients.
- Advocate for patients.
- Previous veterinary practice experience required.
- CVT or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during high‑tension situations.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi‑task.
