• Under direct supervision of the Supervisor, directs, coordinates, and controls nursing activities of assigned staff.
• Assists the Supervisor in evaluation of assigned staff and in completion of assigned projects.
• Provides care for a group of patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assigns tasks appropriately to age and developmental level of patients served.
• Maintains nursing schedules and orientations of new employees.
• Ensures adherence to hospital and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care.
• Familiar with patient care equipment.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school; BSN required within 3 years for new hires as of June 14, 2017.
• Licensure/Certification s
  
  Required:
• - Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• - BLS from the American Heart Association (required for all areas).
• - ACLS required at hire for Code Blue Team or within 6 months for designated units.
• - PALS and NRP required within 6 months for Code Blue team and related units.
• - STABLE (SA ) certification required within 6 months and renew every two years.
• AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Intermediate or Advanced required by July 1, 2019; renewal every two years.
• Preferred Education:
  
  BSN.
• Preferred Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Professional certification preferred.
• Required Experience:
  
  1-2 years of clinical experience.
