Position Overview
Assembler – responsible for production‑assembly of molded plastic parts. Work is highly repetitive and follows prescribed routines and assembly methods. The operator runs machines, deburrs and gauges parts during cycles, records process control data, reads and interprets blueprints, and operates equipment independently.
Essential Functions- Operate machining equipment to produce molded plastic components.
- Position parts on fixtures and secure them with foot pedal or hand controls.
- Deburr and gauge parts during machine cycles.
- Select programs, change fixtures, and run machines; programming is not allowed unless authorized.
- Record process control data and interpret blueprint tolerances.
- Use hand tools, scales, assembly presses, and drill presses.
- Maintain organization skills, multitask, and prepare container tickets.
- Stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, use chemicals, and perform fine hand manipulation.
- Adhere to safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
- Competent after a predetermined training period based on job complexity.
Typical manufacturing area with exposure to chemicals, fumes, heavy lifting, and ergonomic hazards. PPE is required, including safety glasses, shoes/boots, and hearing protection. The work area is non‑temperature controlled and may become hot during summer months.
Pay Range$18.00 – $21.57 per hour, dependent on experience and business needs.
