Job Description Summary
In this role as a Production Assembler at our GE Jacksonville site, you will be a key member of our production team, helping to assemble a variety of electronic components for OEM and engine repair. You will learn how to assemble electrical components and systems, including harnesses, sensors, igniters, leads, and exciters, as well as how to solder and perform functional testing.

You will be part of a teaming environment that utilizes lean and 5S practices to continuously improve products and processes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and basic measurement inspection of parts after assembly steps.
  • Cut, strip, and crimp wire.
  • Perform functional tests using a variety of equipment to verify accuracy and functionality (e.g., electrical, helium, and leak tests).
  • Operate test equipment.
  • Obtain all required certifications.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials.
  • Use a wide variety of hand and/or power tools.
  • Conduct weight measurements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret dimensional measurements (calipers, scales).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen (as applicable).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Possess basic math, computer, and ERP skills, along with basic written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to cross‑train as required and read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in soldering, electronics manufacturing, assembly, and brazing is preferred.
  • Dimensional and electrical training.

This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
