Production Manager, Operations Manager

We’re working on a confidential search for a hands‑on Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations in a growing defense manufacturing facility. You’ll supervise a 24/5 production team, own safety/quality/delivery targets, and coordinate with logistics to keep material moving. This role is ideal for a front‑line leader who can develop people, improve processes, and keep lines running smoothly.
What You’ll DoLead and coach hourly employees across operations; handle hiring, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and recognition.
Plan, assign, and direct daily work to meet production schedules and priorities; maintain steady, uninterrupted shift operations.
Track output, OEE/throughput, labor hours, and downtime; maintain accurate time and production records
.
Ensure shipments meet requirements; verify material and paperwork accuracy; coordinate with the logistics hub.
Enforce ESD/safety procedures; assist with implementing safeguards, PPE standards, and incident prevention.
Troubleshoot equipment issues with Maintenance/Engineering; recommend process/equipment changes to improve efficiency.
Oversee R&M and special projects for building/grounds as needed.
Enter/verify orders and work orders in the production planning/ERP system; communicate status across shifts.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree or equivalent experience
Vantage Clear Certification or Active Security Clearance
Proven problem‑solving skills: gather/analyze data, develop options, and drive decisions.
Project coordination ability: build plans, manage timelines/budgets, communicate progress, and close actions.
Strong customer focus and service mindset—meets commitments and responds promptly to needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); effective in meetings and group settings.
Team leadership: delegates effectively, sets clear expectations, monitors results, and recognizes performance.
Supervisory fundamentals: coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, confidentiality, and continuous skill development.
