Plasma Torch Operator (Yard Helper) START ASAP!

Shift: 7am-4pm Mon-Fri Pay: $18/hr

As a Yard Helper, you will be primarily responsible for performing general labor duties outdoors, mostly under a covered area. Your tasks will include pressure washing and painting large metal pieces used for trench equipment. As you demonstrate your abilities, you may be tasked with additional responsibilities such as assembling parts boxes, which involves counting pieces accurately and pulling chains. The role may develop into more mechanically inclined tasks, including building beams and utilizing a plasma cutter.

• Perform pressure washing and painting of large metal pieces.

• Assemble parts boxes, ensuring accurate count of pieces and pulling chains.

• Potential to develop into tasks requiring mechanical aptitude such as building beams and using a plasma cutter.

• 6+ months of experience using Plasma Cutter (hand held)

• 6+ months of brush and roll painting experience.

• 6+ months of pressure washing experience.

• 1+ years of experience working outdoors in fields like landscaping, construction, or facilities maintenance.

• Self‑motivated with a strong safety mindset.

• Mechanical inclination and ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Experience using hand and power tools is preferred.

• Forklift experience is a plus.

• Experience with hot work, including cutting metal with a plasma cutter/torch.

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
