Responsibilities- Assists supervisors in shift production operations.
- Demonstrates competency on all on‑job activities that impact product safety, legality and quality.
- Ensures production employees are instructed and trained in the safe operation of equipment.
- Reviews records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials, and performs continuous inspection of products to meet quality standards.
- Ensures all equipment is in good operating condition.
- Promotes positive relations and interdepartmental communication.
- May be responsible for operating the facility metal detector(s); operator must be fully trained and certified.
- Enforces safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings.
- Occasionally covers for employees absent due to sickness or vacation.
- Plans and adjusts work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area.
- Ensures compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
- Performs other duties as directed by supervision.
- Completes AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course and any other duties deemed by management integral to the job.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
