Overview

Thompson Industrial
, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an Insite Operations Manager to join their safety-conscious team. This role plans, leads, organizes, and coordinates daily branch operations to improve operational efficiencies through effective utilization of equipment and scheduling of personnel. Interacts with the Sales Team and other support staff as well as the Customer Contractor Manager to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily branch operations by planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating duties to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Interact with Sales Team, support staff, and Customer Contractor Manager to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Operate and manage manual and automated hydroblasting equipment and other special equipment (e.g., Ultra High-Pressure pumps); energize pumping equipment and related cleaning equipment on job sites.
  • Examine cleaned surfaces to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations; perform routine maintenance on equipment and peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate and manage group activities and interactions with other divisions; schedule personnel and project assignments; conduct staff meetings.
  • Approve accounts payable/receivable for payment; review monthly P&L statements and discrepancies; perform revenue forecasting.
  • QA/QC all specialist work and oversee customer service responsibilities for the office.
  • Enforce or modify work procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Directly supervise employees including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in accordance with HPC Industrial HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in developing and reviewing project proposals or plans, determine time frames, funding limits, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation; bid on or assist in bidding industrial services projects.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling projects; review status reports and modify schedules as required; prepare reports for management and clients.
  • Coordinate project activities with regulatory agencies and ensure cost-effective services per contract provisions.
  • Serve as primary liaison between customer and HPC Industrial operations to resolve service issues; cultivate quality relationships to retain clients.
  • Support customers during contract implementation and throughout the relationship; seek customer feedback and take responsibility for satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or environmental science preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial cleaning experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
  • Experience in the utilization of standard and specialized industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively schedule equipment and personnel for daily maintenance and project work.
