We are an established independent insurance agency serving clients across Florida. We are seeking an Insurance Agent Manager / Agency Operations Manager to oversee operations, lead people, manage carrier relationships, and support growth across personal, commercial, and specialty lines.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, not an administrative supervisor.
What You Will Own
- Day-to-day agency operations, performance, and accountability
- Leadership, coaching, and development of sales and service staff
- Carrier relationships, contracts, compliance, and E&O oversight
- Operational systems, workflows, and process improvement
- Support of sales growth, retention, and profitability initiatives
- Multi-line insurance operations across personal and commercial lines
Who Thrives in This Role
You’ve likely:
- Led an insurance agency, territory, or large team
- Owned growth, retention, and operational results
- Coached producers or agents to higher performance
- Worked directly with carriers and leadership stakeholders
- Balanced competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in insurance leadership, agency management, or operations
- Proven experience leading teams and driving results
- Multi-line insurance experience (P&C required; Life/Health a plus)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Former agency owner, field leader, or operations director
- 2-15 license or willingness to obtain (reimbursement available)
- Sales leadership or territory management experience
- Experience with agency management systems (Applied EPIC or similar)
Logistics
- The position is based in Jacksonville, where you will be responsible for growing the local team from its current size of two to approximately ten employees. This role also requires travel to the Melbourne office two days per week to support and oversee operations. Lodging and mileage expenses will be reimbursed
Compensation
- Competitive base salary + $20,000 guaranteed first-year bonus
