Position TitleEnvironmental/Energy Manager
Area of RequirementEnvironmental Compliance / Energy Management
Scope of PositionEnsures compliance with the installation’s Environmental Management System, Installation Energy Plan, and all sustainability, environmental protection, pollution prevention, and hazardous waste requirements.
Tasks and Capabilities Required- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental and energy programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and energy policies.
- Support SPCC, stormwater, EPCRA, and sustainability reporting.
- Manage hazardous waste streams, spill response, and environmental documentation.
- Coordinate environmental audits and Government inspections.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in environmental compliance for operations of similar size/complexity.
- Knowledge of EMS processes, federal energy law, hazardous waste management, and spill response.
- Required training prior to contract start:
Site supervisor for spill cleanup (OSHA / 29 CFR 1910), 40-hour HAZWOPER, 16-hour hazardous material transportation. - Must obtain within 6 months:
Annual SPCC training, Storm Water Pollution Prevention training, EPCRA training.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Registered Environmental Manager (REM)
- Certified Environmental & Sustainability Manager (CESM)
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.
