Director of Maintenance

Major Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan detailing specific tasks and timelines.
  • Establish an equipment and utilities management program.
  • Hire, train, and supervise a sufficient number of maintenance technicians to ensure tasks are addressed effectively.
  • Participate in regular safety inspection tours of the facility and document findings.
  • Provide facility‑wide training on safety issues and chair the Safety Committee.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on building grounds.
  • Ensure supplies, equipment, and other items are maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Innovate and implement new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Secondary degree from an accredited vocational or technical school preferred.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant related position.
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and qualified to perform a job well done.
