Job Summary

The Body Shop Supervisor oversees all vehicle body repair and refinishing operations within Enstructure’s Port Terminal Auto Logistics facility. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and efficient coordination of personnel, materials, and workflow to support timely vehicle processing and delivery. The supervisor leads a team of technicians responsible for cosmetic, structural, and paint repairs on import/export vehicles processed through the terminal.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all body shop operations, including cosmetic and structural repairs, refinishing, and paint work, ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
  • Supervise and assign daily work orders; monitor progress and inspect completed work to verify accuracy, finish quality, and compliance with OEM and Enstructure standards.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of body shop technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and prioritize repair schedules to align with overall vehicle processing goals, port logistics timelines, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments, including Operations, Quality Control, Yard Management, Transport, and Customer Service, to maintain efficient vehicle flow through the terminal.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment by enforcing OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, ensuring proper PPE use and adherence to environmental standards.
  • Manage and control inventory of paint, parts, tools, and repair materials; oversee vendor relationships and purchasing to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Track and analyze production data, repair times, and performance metrics to identify trends and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present repair documentation, production reports, and quality control records for management and customer review.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Uphold and promote Enstructure’s core values of safety, integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence in all aspects of the operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in auto body repair or collision technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an automotive body repair, collision center, or logistics operations, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair, paint processes, and refinishing techniques.
  • Understanding of port terminal operations, auto logistics, or large-scale vehicle processing preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficient with repair estimating software and standard computer applications (MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Valid driver’s license required; TWIC card or eligibility to obtain one preferred.
