As a senior manager in the Indirect Tax--Unclaimed Property and Escheat Services practice, you’ll combine technical expertise and industry insight to identify risks and plan opportunities for our clients. You’ll help secure effective processes, improve reporting, reduce errors, and ensure indirect taxes are handled correctly.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in client consultations, challenging the unclaimed property and escheat approach for optimal effectiveness.
- Develop strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with internal resources.
- Implement extensive knowledge of unclaimed property concepts and requirements.
- Coach and develop junior team members within a collaborative culture.
- Provide timely, responsive services and work products that satisfy clients.
- Apply current technical developments to client situations.
- Analyze information accurately and prepare practical solutions.
- Demonstrate understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.
- Contribute to achieving team goals.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related work experience.
- CPA certification, Member of the US Bar, or professional designation from the IPT.
- Technical expertise in compliance, audit defense, and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.
- Performance and process advisory experience related to unclaimed property compliance.
- Broad exposure to state and local taxation.
- Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed and ability to thrive in a hybrid environment.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant unclaimed property consulting experience within a professional services environment.
- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package: base salary range $135,000–$308,500 USD (varies by location). Includes medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
- Hybrid model: 40‑60% in‑person client engagement as needed.
