General Description / Primary Purpose
This is work coordinating and performing the installation, calibrating, preventive maintenance and repair of BAS components to include interfaces with third party wireless systems, HVAC intelligent system components, and campus network applications.
Job Function- Plan, repair and assist and installation of BAS equipment installed on UNF campus.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the BAS shop
- Read, write and interpret BAS programming and control strategies for various HVAC equipment and associated systems controlled by the campus BAS.
- Maintain equip logs and inspection reports within the campus CMMS.
- Tests, calibrates, maintains and repairs BAS controls to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring system.
- Reads, understands and modifies where necessary appropriate system blueprints and schematics.
- Interprets and evaluates written sequence of operations and system programs for compliance and design intent and functionality of BAS and HVAC equipment.
- Initiates discussions with facility personnel and campus consultants/contractors regarding program changes to control operations of BAS related systems.

- Assists other trades as necessary
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job‑related duties at a designated off‑campus location or place of residence.
Supervision of 3 Systems Control Technicians
Supervision ReceivedGeneral supervision. The incumbent develops procedures for performing a variety of complex duties within established guidelines; has considerable freedom while the work is in process and receives instructions on new assignments.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
