Overview
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Insurance Product Compliance & Regulatory Manager to lead insurance product strategy, oversee pricing and risk governance, and ensure regulatory compliance across our property and casualty insurance portfolio. This role plays a critical part in driving strategic growth while supporting the ongoing maintenance and regulatory health of our products in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
Responsibilities Compliance & Regulatory Oversight- Ensure compliance with state property and casualty insurance laws, regulatory authority requirements, and licensing standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with state insurance regulators, managing regulatory correspondence, changes, and updates.
- Proactively develop and maintain product filing strategies across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with actuaries to develop ratings for new products and revisions to filed rates.
- Prepare, submit, and manage policy, endorsement, rate, and rule filings through SERFF.
- Define and maintain licensing rules and reference guidelines for agents, brokers, and states.
- Manage the full insurance product lifecycle, including design, development, regulatory approval, review, and launch.
- Ensure products comply with risk-based pricing models, underwriting guidelines, and disclosure requirements.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to align product availability with go-to-market strategies.
- Evaluate plan designs, benefits, and pricing in collaboration with actuarial partners.
- Prioritize product roadmap based on total addressable market (TAM) and profitability.
- Source, manage, and negotiate relationships with carrier and entity partners, including service-level agreements.
- Analyze and develop compliance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance and risk assessments and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Create and maintain executive dashboards covering pipelines, renewals, and margins.
- Enforce CRM data standards and reporting accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance compliance, regulatory management, or regulatory affairs.
- Demonstrated experience in a licensed regulatory environment with strong knowledge of:
- Regulatory filings and approvals
- Insurance law, audits, and governance standards
- Proven experience preparing and filing insurance products through SERFF.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities across underwriting, claims, pricing, and compliance data.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
