Position Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for managing and servicing an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts and supporting new business development with a strong focus on client retention. This role involves handling all aspects of account servicing, including audits, policy changes, renewals, invoicing, and proposal preparation, while ensuring the accuracy of insurance documents and data across agency systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively and independently with producer(s) to service an assigned book of accounts and any new business with a focus on client retention.
  • Oversee the database of data for account renewals, coverage rounding, and cross‑selling initiatives.
  • Process renewals according to agency procedures and participate in renewal meetings, marketing, and carrier negotiations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of binders, certificates, policies, audits, endorsements, and related documents, generating summaries as needed.
  • Verify and issue policies at binding and review policy audits to facilitate disputes.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to evaluate client needs and implement billing and financing strategies.
  • Process incoming mail, e‑mail and phone requests and respond promptly.
  • Document conversations with clients and carriers and update agency management systems accurately.
  • Prepare documents for clients and carrier partners using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Develop an understanding of clients’ business and risk strategies, including coverage recommendations and account rounding.
  • Service loss‑sensitive and captive programs.
  • Build positive relationships with carrier contacts and underwriters.
  • Participate in prospect, client and carrier meetings (virtual and in person). If required, attend industry related continuing education training and courses.
  • Travel for company business as required.
  • Maintain ME Wilson’s commitment to service excellence by fostering positive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Assign special projects as needed.
Desired Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations.
  • FL license 2‑20 required.
  • Professional designation such as AAI, CIC, CRIS, or CPCU (or in progress).
  • 3+ years preferred with mid‑ to large‑scale commercial P&C insurance clients.
  • Experience with AMS
    360 and Image Right preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge and background.
