DB USA Core Corporation seeks an Assistant Vice President in Jacksonville, FL to provide advanced Unix system administration and monitoring across multiple operating systems and environments.

• Monitor file systems, log files, CPU utilization, memory utilization, and ports.
• Provide Unix system administration functions, including advanced tuning, Ansible automation, and on‑call support for Linux, RHEL, SuSE, Solaris, and AIX.
• Perform third‑party software upgrades.
• Design, plan, and execute migration activities and business continuity plans.
• Gather inputs from engineering teams to test operating systems and layered software stacks, including volume managers, VMware, multipath, SRDF storage, and VCS technologies.
• Deploy shell scripts, Ansible playbooks, and Python scripts to monitor system resources and maintain systems.
• Manage SAN (EMC & Hitachi) and NAS (Netapp) storage at the OS level.
• Update DNS, check Ethernet speed/double settings, configure ports, and set up SSH security on RHEL Linux.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting critical Unix servers/services in a production support environment.
