What work will you perform?

The Sterling B2B Integrator Developer will design, develop, configure, deploy and support Sterling B2B Integrator solutions serving the transportation industry. You will be proficient with B2B design patterns, architectures and integration technologies that go beyond point-to-point integrations and allow for more reuse and flexibility. Your experience will include proficiency with setup/troubleshooting of communication (SFTP, AS2, HTTPS) and with B2B/EDI terminology & standards (X.12, EDI, XML, JSON).

You will use your experience with Sterling B2B Integrator business process, modeling, mapping, B2B application stack and frameworks, like Lightwell, to deliver well developed solutions. Your toolkit also includes proficiency with Java, XPath, XSLT, SOAP, REST, SQL, Linux.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Administrative support of B2B applications during off hour periods and DR/QA testing
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues and solution
  • Monitoring overall EDI activities with report and statistics
  • Work within a collaborative team environment to design, develop, configure, deploy, and support technology solutions
  • Partner with product owners, business analysts, trading partners, and other IT personnel to determine end-user needs
  • Design, build, own, and support technology products that meet business needs and adhere to department standards of design, quality, security, performance, supportability, and maintainability
  • Assist users by analyzing complex problems and clarifying program objectives
  • Produce knowledge base documentation for the ongoing support of technology solutions
  • Troubleshoot operational problems and restore to normal condition. Maintain a 24/7 state of operational readiness
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Assist in deployment and support of technology
  • Participate as an active learner of new technologies as introduced into the technical roadmap
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of experience with Sterling B2B Integrator development
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop small to medium systems with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify multiple ways to deliver technical solutions and articulate relative strengths and weaknesses of the choices
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Logistics preferred
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator cluster setups
  • Experience with B2

    Bi/Lightwell/ICC administration and management of EDI / B2B tasks
  • Experience with B2

    Bi management and monitoring of all scheduled and special run jobs
  • Experience with System Performance Load and Queue Management
  • Experience with B2

    Bi/Lightwell/ICC Implementation, upgrade, and migration on Linux and Windows platforms
  • Strong UNIX and/or LINUX/RHEL is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server, and Database technologies
