IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, IT Support, Systems Administrator
IQ Fiber is seeking aDirector of IT responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and management of the company’s information technology systems and services. This role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations thatsupportsthe organization. The Director of IT oversees employee equipment,software andrelatedvendor management, help desk operations, and the integration of business systems to improve efficiency,data flow, and security.
This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems and networks
Manage third-partyhelp deskprovidertoensuretimely, effective support to all employees
Develop and execute an IT roadmap that achieves the company’s ITobjectivesand supports business operations
Establish and maintain
IT policies, procedures, and documentation
Establish IT governance frameworks that empower business units to manage their own SaaS applications while ensuring security, compliance, and architectural coherence
Develop andmaintaindata classification and data retention policies
Own the company's cybersecurity posture, including policy development, risk assessment, and incident response planning
Partner with HR to streamline onboarding and off-boardingworkflowsthatensure compliance and support timeline provisioning and de-provisioning of hardware, software, system access, and permissions
Evaluate, select, and negotiate contracts with software vendors, service providers, and hardware suppliers
Trackcontractrenewals, usage, and costs tooptimizelicensing and control spend
Develop and manage the IT budget and forecast future technology needs
Provide guidance and hands‑on support for complex or high‑impact issues when needed
Partner withand support business stakeholders toidentifyopportunities for automation and improved data flowwhile ensuring security and documentation of all critical functions
Consolidatetoolswhere strategic, reduce technical debt, improve integration between systems, and develop playbooks to support future M&A activity
Qualifications:
Bachelor’sdegree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field(or equivalent experience)
Comfortoperatingas both a strategic leader and a hands‑on executor
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or management roles
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)
IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, Microsoft) a plus
Experience scaling IT operations in a growing organization
Experience working in a cloud native environment as well as securing access to critical hardware
