Functional Consultant

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Functional Consultant for a Contract with a client in Jacksonville, FL. Candidate must have solid capability in SAP EWM processes and ABAP development frameworks to be considered for this role.

$45/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Developing and customizing SAP EWM solutions by creating ABAP enhancements, RICEF objects, and module‑specific extensions.
• Supporting integrations between SAP EWM and ECC/S4 systems using technologies such as RFC, BAPI, IDoc, and Web Services.
• Troubleshooting complex EWM technical issues through debugging, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis to maintain stable warehouse operations.
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation aligned with SAP coding standards and established architectural guidelines.
• Optimizing existing ABAP code and participating in upgrades, support package applications, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating with business users, warehouse teams, and functional consultants to prioritize development tasks and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in SAP EWM and ABAP development.
• Candidate must have strong capability in SAP EWM processes, including inbound/outbound workflows, warehouse structures, and EWM‑specific frameworks such as PPF and BADIs.
• Candidate must have proven expertise in creating RICEF objects, supporting technical integrations with SAP systems, and performing performance tuning and issue resolution.
