Operations Technology Java Developer

The Operations Technology Java Developer is an intermediate‑level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The overall goal is to contribute to application systems analysis and programming activities.

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, model development, and the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
• Utilize in‑depth specialty knowledge of application development to analyze complex problems/issues, evaluate business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and provide evaluative judgment.
• Recommend and develop security measures after implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist with installation of customer exposure systems.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower‑level analysts.
• Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
• Act as an SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members, appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, and demonstrate consideration for the firm’s reputation and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong microservices skills:

• Java/Spring Boot or Java/Spring Boot/Angular.
• Experience with Dev Ops tools – Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Experience with Linux/AIX, shell scripting, .NET.
• Knowledge of content management tools, JIRA, Confluence.
• Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Open Shift, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and event‑driven architecture.

• Experience working with business‑critical, high‑volume, and complex enterprise systems.
• Experience with cross‑platform or legacy modernization projects.
• Knowledge and experience automating development processes and testing.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering.
