System Integrator Technician

Interprets data, installs, tests, maintains, and repairs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, personal computers, and terminals measuring and controlling equipment. Applies expertise in programming procedures to complex programs; recommends the redesign of programs; investigates and analyzes program requirements; and develops programming specifications; plans the full range of programming actions to produce several interrelated but different products from numerous diverse date elements which are usually from different sources;

and solves different programming problems. Develops, modifies, and maintains complex programs, designs and implements the interrelations of files and records within programs which will effectively fit into the overall design of the project, working with problems or concepts, develops programs for the solution to major computer problems requiring the analysis and control of various equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must have four (4) years of experience with electronics or electronic control systems or have successfully completed two (2) years of formal training.
• Must have working knowledge of various software; including, but no limited to Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, RSLinx, Intellection, Microsoft Excel, Logic Master, Logix, API, and AI.
• Must possess a working knowledge of Ladder Logic with the ability to troubleshoot, modify and program.
• Must be able to wire and integrate different field devices to various types of PLC and program PLCs to accept and respond to those devices.
• Must be knowledgeable in the use of field devices, such as valves, flow meters, transmitters, process control equipment, motor pump control circuits, level indicators, bubblers, and other devices, both analog and digital.
• Must possess the tools of the trade.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05 standards.
• Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet requirements for access to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
