Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux systems admin for our client. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting application components and related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate will act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and responding to alerts regarding potential production issues, proactively interpreting dashboards, tools, and reports to identify and resolve problems before they impact production.
Responsibilities include implementing, monitoring, and improving Dev Ops processes such as CI/CD pipelines, administering Linux servers, and ensuring security and scalability across systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs, while independently troubleshooting complex technical challenges. Additionally, the candidate will develop real-time monitoring dashboards using Grafana, perform proof-of-concept activities to mitigate risk, and analyze failed deployments to maintain system stability.
Compensation is $59.86 per hour.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Unix/Linux background and experience administering Linux servers
- Proficiency in Bash scripting and Python
- Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines (Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- Experience supporting containerized applications (Podman, Docker, Open Shift, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres)
- Familiarity with Hadoop
- Strong grasp of Dev Ops practices and security principles
- Experience with UNIX application environments (Redis, Containers, Postgres, Python web apps)
- Track record of maintaining large-scale Python-based systems
- Knowledge of Teradata
- Experience developing or customizing Tableau reports
- Understanding of storage and data replication platforms (CEPH, Ozone, HDFS)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Grafana, Apache Superset)
