Position: W2 ONLY -- Opening - Devops / Linux Admin

Local to Jacksonville, FL. W2 contract, 1.5‑year term, 3 days onsite – hybrid model. Please email resume in Word format.

Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and Python.
  • Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Unix background with supporting containerized applications (Podman, Docker, Openshift, or Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of storage and data replication platforms: CEPH, Ozone, HDFS.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux principles and security.
  • Drive data visualization and analytics initiatives using Tableau, Grafana and Apache Superset.
  • Dev Ops practices.
  • In‑depth knowledge of relational databases Postgres.
  • Experience with Hadoop.
Desired Skills
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Working experience on UNIX Application Environments:
    Redis, Containers, Postgres, and Python web app.
  • Track record of maintaining large‑scale Python‑based systems.
  • Knowledge of Teradata.
  • Experience in developing or customizing Tableau reports.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Observe and support application components and related infrastructure, acting as the first point of contact to troubleshot and respond to alerts for potential production issues.
  • Interpret and monitor dashboards, tools, and reports to proactively identify and address potential issues before production impact.
  • Implement, monitor, and improve Dev Ops processes, including CI/CD pipelines, to streamline software delivery.
  • Administer Linux servers for hosting applications, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical solutions with technical needs.
  • Knowledge of automation/Dev Ops tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket.
  • Develop dashboards with Grafana to monitor real‑time logs, server health, etc.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
