Asset Management Specialist is a position that combines technical expertise with customer‑focused service. This individual oversees the full lifecycle of IT and business assets—from procurement and deployment to maintenance and retirement—ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate asset inventories, implementing tracking systems, analyzing utilization data to optimize performance, and collaborating with Finance and Procurement on forecasting and budgeting.

The role emphasizes proactive engagement with internal stakeholders, providing on‑site support across hospital locations, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency and transparency.

• Establish and implement hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance, and retention policies, standards, and procedures aligned with IT strategy.
• Investigate available hardware and software products; evaluate and recommend products based on user requirements.
• Coordinate with the procurement function to interview, select, and negotiate with vendors to purchase appropriate equipment at the lowest cost.
• Review licenses and contracts to ensure coverage and proper documentation of hardware and software equipment.
• Complete a variety of atypical assignments within defined technical processes and may help determine the approach for new tasks.
• Work with limited supervision, providing oversight primarily on complex new assignments.
• Serve as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Monitor equipment order regularly and update status on project documentation.
• Request required LSID IDs for equipment configuration (submit ticket with naming convention, user LSID, and serial number equivalent).
• Assist with printer ticket workflow after receipt in the warehouse (request IP reservation from network resource once device MAC addresses provided, and update documentation).
• Participate on weekly project team calls as needed.

High School Diploma / GED

Associate's Degree

• Minimum 2 years of related experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
• Experience with ticket creation and task management preferred.
• Experience with computer/printer deployments preferred.
• Expertise in Workday preferred.
• Expertise in Service Now preferred.
