System Engineer III

System Engineer - Full‑time, Contract (12 months)

Location:

Jacksonville, FL

• Administer Linux servers for hosting applications, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
• Use automation/Dev Ops tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
• Develop dashboards with Grafana to monitor real‑time logs and server health.
• Perform spike/proof‑of‑concept as needed to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues with failed deployments.

• Experience in Bash scripting and Python.
• Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Unix background with experience supporting containerized applications (Podman, Docker, Open Shift, or Kubernetes).
• Understanding of storage and data replication platforms: CEPH, Ozone, HDFS.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux principles and security.
• Drive data visualization and analytics initiatives using Tableau, Grafana, and Apache Superset.
• Dev Ops practices.
• In‑depth knowledge of relational databases Postgres.
• Hadoop experience (preferred).
• Experience with Docker or container orchestration.
