DevOps Engineer - Jersey

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer - Jersey City to join their team. As a Dev Ops Engineer - Jersey City, you will be part of the Developer Experience Enterprise Engineering team supporting multiple environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dev Ops Engineer - Jersey City

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

What’s the Job?

• Manage and support UNIX/Linux environments, ensuring minimal environmental defects in an agile setting
• Deploy business and infrastructure software across multiple environments for monthly releases
• Implement configurations and manual software changes to support release cycles
• Support multiple testing environments, servers, and releases simultaneously
• Participate in weekly on‑call rotations and support weekend release efforts

What’s Needed?

• Strong UNIX background with at least 5 years of experience in UNIX/Linux operating systems and infrastructure
• Proven experience with software delivery tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible Tower, XLR (minimum 4 years)
• Hands‑on knowledge of scripting languages including Shell, Perl, Python (minimum 5 years)
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Maven/Ant, JFrog Artifactory, Bit Bucket
• Understanding of web application architecture, communication protocols, and network infrastructure
