Job Title: HR Business Partner II
Location: Jacksonville Distribution Center, Jacksonville, Florida

Essential FunctionThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with associates and field leadership in designated Regional Teams. The HRBP serves as a consultant to field management on human resources-related issues, acts as an associate champion and change agent, and anticipates HR-related needs. The HRBP communicates proactively with HR and business management to develop integrated solutions and partnerships that reflect organizational objectives.
The HRBP maintains knowledge of the Region, SBH financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.
- 40% People: Drive recruiting strategies to build a pipeline of talent; active on Linked In and other networks; assess leaders’ abilities; engage in talent reviews and succession planning; develop and implement tools for talent development. Provide guidance on restructures, workforce planning, and succession; align strategy, structure, and culture with business goals. Build and maintain relationships with business partners; analyze trends and metrics with HR to develop solutions;
use insights to improve talent and business outcomes. Develop and administer training to build leadership, recruiting, engagement, and associate relations skills; support Greenhouse, Thrive, and other leadership programs to reinforce skill building. - 40% (continued) Additional duties under People: Maintain ongoing tools for talent development; ensure leaders engage and develop their teams.
- 30% Brand: Coach and consult with leaders to deliver exceptional customer experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Understand competitive landscape and share insights with partners. Develop disciplines to meet brand standards; foster a culture of engaged associates to improve retention. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to field management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- 30% (continued) Additional duties under Brand: Build culture of engagement; support leaders in executing brand standards.
- 15% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure safety policies are followed; utilize reporting to analyze issues. Lead investigations on associate relations issues; use data to mitigate future risks. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements on day-to-day management of employees; partner with legal as needed. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- 15% Operations: Drive execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Review staffing for payroll optimization; support digital strategies (Omni-channel fulfillment). Analyze turnover, ER trends, HR KPIs; monitor training and Thrive programs. Partner with Regional Team on objectives; participate in regional meetings. Travel with Regional Director to assess program execution, culture, training needs, and market opportunities.
Skills And Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification.
- 8–10 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and relevant employment laws.

Physical Requirements
- Travel 50% or more; attend national and regional meetings as required.
- Typical office/retail environment with standard safety precautions; well-lit, heated, and ventilated.
- Primarily sedentary with some walking, standing, bending, and light carrying; no special physical demands required.
