- Manage and coordinate overall benefits programs in alignment with institutional initiatives.
- Lead the benefits team: hire, evaluate, manage, and develop employees.
- Ensure quality and customer service expectations for benefits specialists.
- Develop training plans and onboarding processes.
- Identify and implement department improvement ideas.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR colleagues to maintain relationships.
- Assist in the development and administration of benefit programs.
- Coordinate administration of employee benefit programs: medical, dental, life, pension, etc.
- Maintain required records and consult employees on eligibility and plan provisions.
- Develop administrative procedures to monitor costs and improve delivery.
- Assist preparation of employee benefits booklets and communications.
- Advise employees on plan interpretation and pre‑retirement counseling.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources or related field and 3–5 years of benefits administration experience. Preference for master’s degree, CEBS certification, strong leadership, team building, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and a systematic approach to goal accomplishment.
- Ability to analyze and project financial data.
- Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
- Works independently while collaborating within a team.
Must live within driving distance of Mayo Clinic campuses (Jacksonville, Rochester, or Phoenix).
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $86,632.00 – $ per year.
Benefits Eligible: Yes.
ScheduleFull Time, Monday‑Friday normal business hours, 80 hours / pay period. Weekend as needed. Work may be hybrid.
