Overview
The Front Desk Supervisor is directly responsible for all front desk personnel. Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations and guest services.
Position Type and HoursThis is a full-time benefit eligible position. This position must be flexible to work variable days of the week to include weekends and holidays based on business needs.
Responsibilities- Check-in/Check-out hotel guests.
- Process all payments according to hotel requirements.
- Provide information and assistance to all guests and vendors.
- Prepare all necessary reports during each shift for the management team.
- Ensure all front desk staff know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards.
- Assist in creating and distributing the team member schedule in a timely manner and cover any call-outs as necessary.
- Represent the hotel in a professional, knowledgeable and eloquent manner.
- Resolve guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, safe and inviting atmosphere inside and out.
- Ensure that all interactions with guests, managers and other employees are friendly, attentive, courteous and efficient.
- Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guest, through employee development and motivation.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication and teamwork with all employees and department heads.
This position will be located at a hotel and primarily work behind a desk and in public spaces.
Physical Requirements- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to stand during the entire 8-hour shift.

TravelNo travel is expected for this position. Travel for annual training and conferences may be required.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- A minimum of one year of front desk supervisor experience.
- Experience handling cash, accounting procedures and general administrative tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management and/or related fields.
- Knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and must be able to work a flexible work schedule as the hours for this management position will vary.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be fluent in English.
