Schedule:
7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Full‑time position.
Performs credentialing and other administrative support services for Allied Health Professionals, Medical Staff members, and Medical Staff leaders in a professional and confidential manner.
Responsibilities- Perform credentialing for Allied Health Professionals, Medical Staff members, and leaders.
- Provide general administrative support services.
- Maintain and update a database of staff demographics, licensure, insurance, and meeting attendance.
- Use a word processor and implement an organized filing system.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and administrative personnel.
- Required
Education:
GED or High School Diploma. - Preferred Education:
Two years of college or business school. - Preferred Licensure/
Certifications:
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services as a Medical Staff Coordinator or Professional Credentialing Specialist. - Required Experience:
Over two years coordinating/managing medical staff affairs or over ten years of administrative/clerical experience. A bachelor’s degree may be accepted in lieu of required experience.
- Ability to communicate with medical staff and administrative personnel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and Florida statutes related to medical staff.
- Proficiency using a word processor and implementing filing systems.
- Ability to maintain a database system covering all staff members, including demographics, licensure, insurance, and meeting attendance.
