Overview
The Director of Psych Programs provides strategic and operational leadership for all inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum. This role oversees the development, coordination, and performance of clinical programs. The Director partners closely with the Medical Director, Nursing leadership, and other hospital and ambulatory leaders to ensure alignment with UF Health Jacksonville’s mission, regulatory standards, and best practices in behavioral health treatment.
QualificationsRequired
Education:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related mental health field.
Necessary
Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health systems, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practice.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Required Licensure/
Certifications:
Active Florida licensure under Chapter 490 or 491 (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical experience in behavioral health, including at least three (3) years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in both inpatient psychiatric and outpatient behavioral health settings strongly preferred.
