Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our Outpatient Rehab Department in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN position which will support weekday coverage of our Baptist outpatient rehab clinics across the Jacksonville metro area. No weekend requirements.

We are looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our adult outpatient team. Caseload includes various diagnoses – neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in treating patients in an outpatient setting.

• Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, provide physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician to improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Participate in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Remain within budget guidelines where applicable.
• Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.

Active BLS from the American Heart Association and licensure from the FL Department of Health required

• Education Required: Associate's Degree
• Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience as Physical Therapy Assistant;
  General Outpatient Rehab experience preferred;
  Post-op orthopedic care experience
• License and Certification: Active BLS from the American Heart Association and Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (FL)
