Job Summary
Baptist Health is hiring a Quality Specialist to join the Quality team at Baptist South. This is a part-time position with approximately 30 hours per week.
Introduces the National Association of Healthcare Quality's 8 domains for healthcare quality competency. Engages in introductory healthcare quality education and professional development through competence and continued learning. Works in collaboration with Advanced Quality Team members to promote and incorporate healthcare quality objectives into the strategic operating practices. Utilizes professional communication and relationship building techniques to interact and establish partnerships with Local Leadership.
Familiarizes and begins implementation of performance improvement frameworks and methodologies to enhance project and change management with advanced quality team members. Participates with advanced quality team members in projects and/or committees at the healthcare system level. Initiates the promotion of a safe healthcare system through participating in the collaborative culture of safety model and through partnership with Facility Risk Mgmt.
Takes part in compliance and regulatory requirements through preparation and participation in continued readiness activities with Accreditation Leaders. Creates a fundamental collaborative environment with Infection Prevention to improve care and reduce infections within the facility.

Education Required- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
- Master's Degree
- 3-5 Years Clinical Nursing Experience Required
- Less than 1 year Healthcare Quality Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) Preferred
- Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
