Fresh Ministries is seeking a compassionate, service-oriented Recovery Navigator to support individuals in early recovery from opioid and other substance use disorders. This role plays a key part in helping participants stabilize, overcome practical barriers, and move toward employment, education, and long-term recovery.
The Recovery Navigator provides hands‑on support, resource coordination, and consistent accountability—ensuring individuals have the tools, connections, and encouragement they need to build a stable future. This is a part‑time role funded through the OSPG Recovery Grant.
Essential duties and responsibilities- Intake & Needs Assessment:
Conduct initial intake meetings with referred individuals;
Identify recovery needs, employment goals, and key barriers (housing, transportation, legal challenges, etc.). - Service Navigation:
Connect individuals to essential resources, including housing assistance; transportation support; healthcare and community clinics; food, utility, and financial assistance; legal aid services; peer recovery groups and community supports. - Employment Readiness Support:
Partner with employment specialists to help participants pursue training, internships, or employment pathways; track progress toward goals (GED enrollment, certifications, job interviews, or sustained recovery milestones). - Care Coordination:
Maintain regular check‑ins to support accountability and motivation; coordinate care with outpatient clinical staff when individuals participate in both programs; help individuals stay engaged with services and follow through on action steps. - Documentation & Data Entry:
Accurately log services provided, referrals made, milestones achieved, and non‑clinical outcomes; assist with grant reporting requirements and compliance measures.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support individuals in recovery. Knowledge of community‑based services, recovery resources, and basic case navigation. Ability to manage multiple participants, deadlines, and detailed documentation. Experience in social services, workforce development, or recovery support preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required. Must maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical boundaries at all times.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; some college or training in human services preferred. Experience providing navigation, peer support, case management, or recovery support services strongly preferred.
Salary/Salary Range25 hours per week; $26/hour
