FL-DOH-Duval County-Medical Assistants - Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting.
Complete DescriptionWORK ENVIRONMENT: Open workstation and clinical area
DRESS CODE: Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue
COMPUTER SOFTWARE: Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have Medical Assistant Certification
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
- Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
- Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Distribute prescribed medications
- Effective communication skills
