Medical Biller

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate billing statements and claims, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and internal policies.

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing for all services rendered.
• Review daily charges, coding, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Process electronic and paper claims to insurance carriers and other payers.
• Identify and correct billing discrepancies before claim submission.
• Monitor claim status, follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and ensure timely resolution.
• Post payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain organized billing records and ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer, and company policies.
• Assist with month-end reports and reconciliations as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Billing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• 2+ years of billing experience (healthcare or insurance billing strongly preferred).
• Working knowledge of billing software, EHR/EMR systems, and clearinghouses.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience with multi-location or specialty practice billing.
