Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) has proudly served Jacksonville for over 30 years, providing culturally competent mental health and wellness services to minority populations. We address a broad range of needs, including substance abuse, HIV care, and primary healthcare, all aimed at improving quality of life through compassionate, comprehensive care.

Matrix House is a secure in‑jail treatment program designed for clients serving jail sentences who have substance abuse or dependency issues. The program includes four months of intensive treatment followed by 12 months of Aftercare, offering counseling, education, support groups, and referrals to community resources.

As a Corrections Counselor, you will manage assigned caseloads, provide individual and group counseling, and deliver crisis intervention services within the Therapeutic Community. You will collaborate closely with case managers, correctional staff, and community partners to ensure clients receive personalized and effective care.

• Deliver individual, group, and crisis counseling.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with the Therapeutic Community team and Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) personnel.
• Participate in discharge planning and aftercare coordination.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or human services with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Preferred:
  Certification in addictions or criminal justice fields.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of 65D-30 standards and eligibility for Level 2 DCF Background Screening.
• Strong documentation skills and cultural competence.
