Patient Care Associate-Women Services- FullTime Nights

Overview

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) provides age-specific patient centered-care. As a member of the patient care team, it is expected to take direction from the RN for patient care assignments.

  Education:
  
  GED or High School Diploma
• Necessary
  
  Skills:
  • Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply all hospital computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and standard precautions.
  • Ability to read/write in English.
• Required Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Maintain active CNA license from the State of Florida
  -OR- have successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals
  
  BLS from the American Heart Association
• Required Experience:
  
  Less than one year providing patient care
• Preferred Experience:
  
  At least one (1) year providing patient care
