MRI Technologist, PRN – Baptist ED North

Job Summary

Eligible for up to $1,000 Sign On Bonus. Baptist Health is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our MRI Department at Baptist ED North. This MRI Technologist will perform MRI exams on patients, ensuring high quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. The Technologist will prepare patients, explain procedures, work closely with radiologists and other health professionals, and operate MRI equipment.

This is a PRN position with various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI procedures.
• Promote a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients and foster good will among co‑workers and departments.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Take precautions to protect self, patient, and others from potential harm related to the magnetic field.
• Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by licensed practitioners in accordance with state, federal regulations, or institutional policy.

Education Required

Vocational School.

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree.

Experience

• No Customer Service experience required.
• No experience in imaging department required.
• No MRI Technologist experience required.
• No experience working in a hospital setting required.
• No experience in Radiology Department required.

License and Certification

• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) required OR
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
• Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) required OR
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required OR
• Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) required OR
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) required
