Description
Florida Physician Specialists has an immediate opening for a New Patient Referral Coordinator in our McIver Clinic division.
The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for inputting all demographics, diagnosis, authorizations and other details received via New Patient referrals and scheduling them appropriately while also answering the phone and working with patients in person to schedule medical appointments. This is a fast paced busy urology practice with over 13 providers and 5 locations.
These are full time positions with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K retirement plan.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Prior scheduling experience in a medical office setting
- Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service with a patient-care focus
- Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Computer proficiency
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Answer high volume incoming calls to coordinate and schedule patient appointments
- Greet incoming patients and schedule or reschedule appointments
- Collect patient personal data and insurance information
- Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary
- Answer questions and provide other information as requested
- Direct calls to other departments and relay necessary messages to staff.
- Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
