Baptist Medical Center is looking for compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our team. These positions are located on various units at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL (Downtown) and the surrounding area. We are looking for Nursing Assistant candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and focus on providing quality patient care. Nursing Assistants (NAs) support RNs in the care of patients and work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
AdditionalResponsibilities
- Patient activities of daily living
- Maintaining a safe environment for patients
- Collecting lab specimens
- Intake and output monitoring
- Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and current enrollment in nursing school. The following have been grandfathered into the Nursing Assistant role:
Foreign nurse, Foreign Physician, and nursing assistants hired prior to April 23, 2015 without a Florida CNA license.
High School Diploma/GED
Education PreferredHigh School Diploma/GED
Experience- 1 year Clinical Patient Care Experience Preferred
- Monitor Technician Experience Preferred
- Health Unit Coordinator Experience Preferred
- Electronic Health Record Experience Preferred
- Experience working in a hospital setting Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
