Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant II in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Rheumatology South in Jacksonville, Florida. This full‑time role involves back‑office duties such as rooming patients, assisting a provider, and obtaining vitals. Experience in a physician office is preferred.

• Provides nursing assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
• Telephone triage
• Patient education
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals
• Cross‑training in front office, referrals, and other areas (e.g., FP and pediatrics)

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Associate’s Degree

• Over 5 years of patient‑care experience
• Experience in a physician’s office

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
