As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are hiring PRN Physical Therapist Assistants to join our Jacksonville and St. Augustine clinics. In this role, you’ll support therapists in delivering high-quality care, guide patients through exercises and functional activities, and contribute to positive patient outcomes in a professional, patient-centered environment.

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and directives.
• Guide and encourage patients through manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, daily-living activities, and the use of supportive devices (crutches, canes, prostheses).
• Provide patient education on wellness, growth and development, and therapeutic regimens.
• Document patient care accurately in medical and departmental records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection-control and safety protocols.
• Monitor treatment trends, patient progress, and production objectives to support clinic efficiency.
• Contribute to the clinic’s reputation by taking ownership of patient care and exploring opportunities to enhance services.
• Identify patient care issues and provide recommendations to support physical therapist effectiveness.
• Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and review of therapy histories.
• Perform therapeutic procedures under the direction of physical therapists.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and JCAHO regulations.
• Stay current with professional development through continuing education, publications, and professional networks.
• Support clinic operations by maintaining legal, safety, and accreditation standards.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support and motivate patients.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the therapy team.
• Flexibility to work PRN (as needed) to support clinic operations.
