Overview
The Athletic Trainer will function under the direction of a physician. Provides services related to the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, disposition, treatment or rehabilitation of a physically active person who has sustained an injury, illness, or other condition involving sport, exercise, training or related physical activity. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for traveling to area high schools to provide on-site services for practices, sporting events and/or clinic hours, including other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education: Master’s degree preferred
Required Licensure/
Certifications:
Florida License as Athletic Trainer, BOC certification, Emergency Cardiac Care certification (e.g. BLS or ACLS) from American Heart Association
Required Experience: Less than one year on-field Athletic Training experience

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to recognize problems and work systematically and logically to resolve them
- Seeks to develop self and others
- Contributes to a safe environment for student athletes by following established procedures and protocols
- Stays up to date on evidence informed athletic training practice
Age of Patients Served: Adolescent (13‑17 years) Adult (18‑64 years)
